Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #1800 (and some notes)
See it a bit bigger here.
It's hard to believe we're already at 1800! Thanks for all the support and encouragement over the years! Here's to many more. Well, at least a few more. Maybe a couple?
I still have no idea when this will wrap up (though I do know how). I'm enjoying it too much to think about it.
That said, I will be taking a break in a couple of weeks. Not a long one, probably 10 days or so.
Also: thanks for all the votes that have come in on this shirt and this shirt. I know t-shirts and comics are different worlds, and I really am grateful for those of you who support both endeavors.
Also the video games. Who can forget those? Cars 2 is doing really well, and if you've played it, you can see why. It's very fun, and if you follow any of the video game rating sites, the critics seem to agree as well.

Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #1798
We are getting perilously close to #1800. Can you guess what it will be about?
Hint: something that's been missing around here for the last few months. I've probably just given it away.
While I'm on the subject of Teh Foundlings group on flickr...
... here's an idea. If you have one of my recent shirts from woot and aren't camera shy, post a picture of it in the group here. If you are camera shy, maybe a picture of your dog or neighbor wearing one of my shirts. That could be fun.
If you do it, I'll send you something. Something I've drawn, involving the cats you've probably come here to see. I don't think too many people come here to read about shirts, but that's what's going on tonight.
I think I'll limit this to the first dozen or so, which, judging by the activity over in the flickr group, will take several months.
That's all the links for now. Standby for tonight's comic, which has lobsters in it.
--ADDENDUM--
Nobody draws like Halcyon Snow.

"...and the Laugh Out Loud Cats of Hobotopia..."
Look what Jim added to the Foundlings group on flickr!
Thanks for the shout out, page-a-day calendar!

I drew this* five years ago, and no longer remember the anecdote on its flickr page.
In just a few weeks, John Hodgman's culminating volume in his compendium of complete world knowledge, entitled THAT IS ALL, will be released. You can pre-order it here, and I highly recommend it, even though I haven't read it. However, I have seen some of the pictures inside, if you catch my meaning.
*For the uninitiated, this is one of John Hodgman's 700 hoboes listed in his first book The Areas of My Expertise. The effort to draw each and every one of those hoboes actually began nearly six years ago. I'll try to remember to commemorate that when the time comes.
This shirt's days are numbered
Remember this shirt? From the looks of things, its days are numbered over on woot. If you've been on the fence about it, your last chance to purchase it may soon come and go. Things can be pretty cutthroat over there, so get it while it's hot.
Meanwhile, this shirt continues to hold its own, and for that I am grateful.
More links coming soon!
Neatoshop sticker sketches
Here are the initial sketches I sent to Alex of Neatorama that eventually became the zombie stickers available here in the Neatoshop. Buy some and put them on your car so everyone will know you are a zombie!

What about this one? Would you mind voting for this one at this link?
I'm thinking of doing something special for all the wonderful people like you who have voted for and/or worn the shirts I've made for woot, but I'll tell you more about that later. I have more links to post.
Continue standing by please.

May I ask a favor?
In 12 hours, each of these designs will be up for voting at shirt.woot.com/derby. I won't have direct links till tomorrow night.
If you're a woot customer, and you like any of these, would you mind voting for them?
These were honorable mentions from their respective derbies, and that means they're up for voting again.
It's always stiff competition in the "double take derby", but with your help, children and adults of the world can soon wear mashed potatoes, or a misattribution, or a hobo prawn, or death himself right there on their torsos! That is my dream.
As always: thank you.

Supplemental material
This may be helpful in puzzling out the significance of the comic posted earlier this evening.
Apparently not everyone's familiar with this.
I recommend googling a larger version and reading the quote in the border.

Thanks to the votes of exactly 813 of you kind folks, this shirt won. Here's a link if you'd like to buy one: the mute made it look weird so I left it out. Can you find the hidden message in the link text?!
