Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #324
Today's comic will be posted tomorrow (Sunday). Meanwhile, here's an old one (though, depending on who you choose to believe, they are all so very, very old).

Some of you would just as soon put yesterday behind us, so here's Tuesday's comic a bit early.

I can't tell you how nice it is to have a possibly fictional great-dad to blame utterly ridiculous things on.
That guy was nuts.

Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #1027
I am home after a couple of weeks on the road. If you have a pending request or an email I haven't responded to, I hope to rectify everything soon.
Also, I will be attending New York ComicCon next month and signing copies of my book at the Abrams table on Friday and Saturday, and maybe more. I'll post more details as they develop.

Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #1021
Apparently I've been dugg, so welcome new visitor(s)! Nice mustache(s).
To answer the two main questions I get:
1. I don't understand half of these either.
2. Faber Castell PITT pens sizes B and S.
Also: my holiday unreachability continues this week, so I may be less than responsive on the comments, and may even be forced to skip a day or two. I apologize in advance.

I'll be increasingly difficult to contact over the next several days as the holidays descend upon us. Please know that I do read and appreciate all of your comments.

Another hobo-based animated short, via CartoonBrew.com.
Fun fact! O. Soglow (creator of the Little King and minimalist cartoonist before there was such a thing) is buried in the same cemetery as Malcolm X!

No comic tonight, just this--UPDATE--We have a winner
I will send the original drawing for this to the first person to tell me what this specific image is based on. I'll only accept answers in the comments here, not on flickr and not via email. Bonus points for details and links.
Also: you can get this on stuff over on zazzle.
msnshn313 correctly answered the question. 1974 brought the world the first appearance of Hello Kitty on a vinyl coin purse.
Congratulations msnshn313. Email me via adamkoford.com with your address.

Tonight: 900. Tomorrow: 1000.
For those of you who are relatively new around here, here's how I generally handle every 100th comic: they're usually drawn and painted with watercolor then sold on ebay.
However, #1000 is an exception. It was created last month and auctioned for charity as part of the LOLarts exhibit, which you can learn more about here. You may even glimpse it briefly in the video, though not in any significant detail.
I really should have been more forthcoming about the show, but I totally spaced it, and, through no fault of anyone else, I was unclear on some of the more important details. Sorry.
Even so, #1000 will still be posted here tomorrow.
#900 is coming later tonight. It's drying. It will be sold on ebay, as will the lineart for #800, which was colored digitally (each sold separately).
#700, which was also posted recently, was also colored digitally and cobbled together from smaller drawings, and won't be sold.
Thank you for your patience, support, comments, notes, and general well-wishings.
