It's a hobo redo!
Thanks to everyone who has already ordered a monkey. You are in on the ground floor of what promises to be an incredibly fun project. For me and hopefully for you. Unless you don't like monkeys, and if you don't like monkeys, what are you doing here?!?
On a completely unrelated note, should I sign up for twitter?

It's a hobo redo!
at 8:26 PM
Of all of the pictures on my site, this is the one that gets the requests for re-use most often.
With that in mind, my next custom postcard art project deal is dedicated to ever-lovin' monkeys. You name 'em, I draw 'em.
Tell your friends.
A couple of notes:
I still have a handful of fairy tale pictures to draw and send. I will keep the fairy tale art project open for a couple more days.
I do have other freelancings to attend to, so even though orders for monkeys may come in this week, I will start drawing them next Monkey. I mean Monday. The 7th of Monkey. I mean May.

The custom fairy tale project will be winding down over the next several days, and in it's stead will be yet another opportunity for you to own your very own postcard sized drawing. It is far too early to tell you any more about it though.
If you saw the list of submitted hobo names from last month, however, the subject matter will come as no surprise.
Drat! I've probably said too much.

Here are a few of the upcoming illustrations you can expect over the weekend. A couple of questions have been raised in the comments:
What about folk tales?
A fairy tale I wrote?
All of these are acceptable. In the case of stories you may have made up, please provide a link.

I saw him play once, in St. Louis in 1994. That day my interest in sports was awakened.
The next day it was quickly snuffed out, never to return.
More info about the good Mr. Lemon is available here. Yes, he is still alive, and no he has not had his forearms replaced with comically oversized basketballs, as depicted above. That's a trick played on you by a wiley photographer. Perhaps Walker Evans.

There are a couple of hoboes that have fallen through the cracks! Whoops! Sit tight and I will get right to them, cigars and all.
To those who have ordered a hobo, they should be in your mitts by Friday the 27th at the very latest. Email me via my site if not.
To those visiting from boingboing.net this lovely evening, the hobo project has come to an end. Would you care for a fairy tale?
On a side note, does anyone know what Ron Popeil is talking about in the photo above? Does he have something that will prevent natural disasters? Does it fit in your pocket? I can only assume it is not sold in any store.
Finally, thank you all.
