Sorry. There will be some tomorrow, and maybe the ever-elusive #200.
In the meantime, enjoy YOU WILL GO TO THE MOON.
And to answer the most recent question posted in the comments wondering if some sort of familial relationship between Kitteh and Pip will be revealed in #200: NO! It's about ducks!*
Good night all.
*not to belabor the point, but over on flickr someone expressed concern with the rough handling ducks** have been receiving in the comic. I don't condone duck throttling any more than Hagar's creator encourages the sacking of London.
**No actual ducks have been harmed in the creation of the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats comics.

Here are pertinent details regarding the previously mentioned Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #200:
It'll be in color.
It'll be larger than usual.
A secret will be revealed!
It will be put up for auction on ebay.
Pip will not be appearing.
I'm not sure when it'll be up.

Just what is going on here?

Here is an update in list form:
1. A few more cats drawn, waiting to be scanned. Thanks again to everyone who has ordered.
2. It has come to my attention that one of the cartoons ordered in early July never made it to it's destination. This should not be so and I shall rectify it shortly. If you ordered a cartoon prior to August 21 and have not received it by the end of this week, please let me know.
3. I finally finished Harry Potter. I totally figured out something about the ending. My wife hates when I do that.
4. I played a wii for the first time this evening. Some friends brought it over. I rock teh golf. Much more so than in real life, where I merely stink up the links.
5. More information regarding the yet-to-be-revealed Laugh-Out-Loud Cats #200 will be made known tomorrow. Here's a little teaser: after reading it, perhaps you too will hate ducks (at least within the confines of this little world I've created. Please do not harm any real ducks on my account. Unless you need to in order to survive.)
6. Finally, I have no idea what's going on in the photo above. Enjoy!

12 Thing About the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats
1. I use Faber Castell PITT pens, sizes B and S. B for brush, S for small. I've heard the pentel brush pen is nice, but I haven't been able to find one locally.
2. I don't use a model sheet or a turnaround of any kind. Their sizes are probably inconsistent from comic to comic, but I don't mind if you don't mind.
3. I still haven't quite figured out their hands.
4. Sometimes I forget the tails. In those cases, just assume they are sitting on them.
5. I try to include both Kitteh and Pip in each comic. There will be exceptions to this in the future (see #10).
6. No close ups. Even when one is in the foreground and obstructed by something, I make sure that if they were unobstructed you would still see teh whole cat.
7. Kitteh has a fang.
8. I need to include more females.
9. Pip is very much based on my youngest son, and his voice is the voice I hear in my head when I write 'em.
10. Earlier this evening I figured out how it will end. Not when, but how.
11. There are currently no plans to publish these in book form. That doesn't mean there won't be, but I don't want to self publish.
12. I had no idea it would ever come this far and have no plans on quitting.

Number 200 is fast approaching. I'll try to have something special for the momentousness.
A couple of quick points to make for those who may be new to these parts:
1. You can own an original Laugh-Out-Loud Cats drawing like the one you see here. See the button at right, near the top, for details.
2. But you can't own this one. Here's how it works: I get the order, I draw teh cats. Then I send it. Everything you see posted here or on flickr has been sent or is about to be.
3. I'm happy to oblige requests, within reason. I won't add ads or anything like that, but if you have a specific LOLism you like, I'll see what I can do. I'm also trying to keep things on the all-ages level, though there have been some rather oblique references along the way.
4. Once again, and I cannot say this enough: thanks!
Hey everybody! I'm really excited and humbled by the outpouring of thanks and appreciation over the past few days. I wish I could respond to every single comment here and on flickr, but I promise I do read them and really appreciate it.

If I've sent you something and you have a picture, let me know!
Snopes is on the case. Steven Spielberg did not sneak onto the Universal lot and subsequently work his way into the hearts of American audiences.
However, I have it on good authority that about 10 years ago it was incredibly easy to sneak onto the Universal lot, wander around, visit movie sets as they were being built, play random pianos sitting in empty sound stages, stroll past the Psycho house, eat free food and rub elbows with A-list celebrities, and more!
It was also very easy to put a couple of friends in the trunk of your car, park on the back lot, and walk into the theme park unnoticed.
I will never reveal how I came upon this information, nor will I tell how to get two adults into the trunk of a Celica.

The unknown Eric Stoltz film I posted about earlier is most likely "Don't Look Back", which, according to imdb included Sunset Boulevard as a filming location. Thanks to Supercereal for the tip in the comments.
So, has anyone actually seen this movie?
Incidentally, the building where I worked in Canoga Park can be seen several times in the Alicia Silverstone movie Blast from the Past.
Also, my wife is probably among the extras in the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Jingle All the Way (there were a lot, and they all had big coats on). She wasn't a paid extra, she simply snuck on the set during her lunch break a few times and even spoke with the Arnold a time or two. It used to be very easy to sneak onto the Universal lot and wander around unaccompanied. That's how Steven Spielberg got his start there (at least according to legend).

Guitar Center
Originally uploaded by _esse.
In 1996 I lived near Hollywood. One night, while driving down Sunset, my wife and I saw Eric Stoltz being filmed outside Guitar Center. At least I think we did. Did this really happen? Does anyone know what movie that could have been? I seem to remember him looking disheveled and hobo-ish, if that helps.
Also, there will be several cats posted tonight. Look out for some critters in the coming days, including two monkeys (one named Donna), a dog, and a hobo. Somehow a hobo slipped through the sensors.
I guess a hobo is technically a varmint.

Torque Converter
Originally uploaded by dousacu.
The lovely device you see depicted here is called a torque converter and is something of a miracle. Without it, we'd all be driving stick.
So when the torque converter in my car recently met it's doom*, I was naturally a bit concerned. How was I supposed to drive? Well, thanks to the mechanic down the road, things are all better (and he doesn't need to worry about his next boat payment).
Not coincidentally, I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone of the wonderful opportunity to own your very own original drawing of the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats.
Also, if you are an art director, or know someone who is, take a moment to visit my site at www.AdamKoford.com. I would be thrilled to help you out on any upcoming illustration assignments. Coloring books, mascot/character design, greeting cards, magazine articles, posters; whatever you've got, I do it all**.
*When the mechanic took the bottom off the transmission, there was a little flower of metal shavings that had worked it's way through. Too bad I didn't have my camera.
**I can even convert torque, if that helps.

Thanks, King Kong!

There are several cats, critters, and varmints currently in production. All of the color varmints n' monkeys should be done and in the mail by Tuesday (if the creeks don't rise, as they say in Missouruh).

*ahem*
Some of you know about this, some of you don't, but I need ALL of your help.
As of this past weekend, the writer/artist team of Sir Kevin Buckley and myself have officially been placed as one of the TOP TEN FINALISTS in PLATINUM STUDIOS COMIC BOOK CHALLENGE 2007!! www.comicbookchallenge.com
If you haven't heard of it, the CBC is a contest where people from all over the world compete for a comic book print deal and prizes. The first part of the contest was narrowing the entries down to 50, then those 50 had to pitch their ideas before a panel of judges and they were cut down to 10. Now, the 10 pitches and their artwork have been placed onto the net where YOU, yes YOU, must vote for the top spots "American Idol" style.
It's an amazing opportunity for Kevin to reach his goal as a writer for comics (and it ain't too bad for my fledgling comic art career either); I would like to extend a gracious invitation for those on Flickr to take a look at Kevin's pitch, decide if you like it, and then vote for us like crazy!!!
Watch our pitch and vote HERE:
www.attblueroom.com/hollywood/comic-book-challenge/mediap...
(you can view the other people in the contest there as well)
You can also check out some preview pencil pages, sketchbook, bios, etc. we've worked up for the comic "The Strange & Many Eyes of Dr.LeFaux" at: www.doctorlefaux.com
So, if you've ever been a friend of mine, will soon be a new friend of mine or have simply gotten this message from a repost and don't know who the crap I am... get those votes in! Vote a million times a day! Get all of your friends to vote!! I won't be happy until every man, woman, child, lolcat or dog has voted!
Thank you kindly,
