Here is a list of frequently asked questions regarding the sale and distribution of Laugh-Out-Loud Cats comics:
If I order a comic, can I request what you put in it?
Sure! You can, but you don't have to. Lots of comics in the archives are the result of requests, though most aren't. There's a place on the paypal checkout to make a note, but if you don't see it you can email me. You can also request a cameo by a previously established character.
Also, I try to keep things on a "general audience" level (though if depictions of duck-hating, thievery, vandalization, loitering, and true tales of prison life offend you, you may want to click away. Also, I tend to glorify cigar smoking to a certain degree).
Do you smoke cigars?
No.
If I order a comic, how long will it take to get to me?
Generally a couple of weeks, though once in a while it can take longer if there's a backlog or other projects I'm up to my elbows in. If you have to have one right away (as a gift or something), I can usually make an exception. Again, feel free to email.
Why isn't the comic you sent me in the archive?
There are several reasons this may happen from time to time. One: I only post one or two a day now, so usually there are a bunch waiting to be posted. Two: I can't tell you the second reason at the moment.
Do you send comics outside North America?
Yes, at no extra charge.
When I buy a comic, do I own the copyright?
No, but you can post any of the comics on your blog or website (as long as you link back to this blog somewhere). You can also use them for buddy icons or avatars and such.
What's with the picture of Edmund and Regan?
I dunno. I found it in the creative commons pool on flickr.
I have a question but I can't think of it at the moment.
Go ahead and post it in the comments.
Are you grateful for my support?
Yes. Yes I am.
(No one's actually asked that last one.)

ReplyDeleteI don't see a place to email you, so I'll ask here: My autographed copy of the book arrived, but the spine binding broke the very first time I opened it. Are you having this problem with Lulu in general, or is it just me?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Great book, BTW! Genuinely earned the "LOL" appellation!
Everyone: i also support your grates. See previous Zork link, and look under the pile of leaves.
ReplyDeleteTo Mark: First: you have the exact same name as my brother in law.
Second: this is the first I've heard of it, you must have received a faulty copy. Please email me via "a k (at symbol) adamkoford dot com" no spaces. Apparently you're supposed to write your email in this fashion to repel the robots.
