The co-director of this WB cartoon, Joseph B. Hardaway, was the "Bugs" for whom Bugs Bunny was named. (Hardaway directed the first two proto-Bugs cartoons.) Hardaway also was the top sarge in Harry Truman's artillery outfit, and remained close well into HST's presidency.
